Conti's history in the power/ industrial market began in the mid-80's with the site development and major equipment installations on a number of gas fired cogeneration plants. Experience soon grew to include many types of facilities including waste-to-energy plants, natural gas transmission facilities, nuclear generation facilities, water treatment plants, petrochemical facilities, and even renewable energy projects such as landfill gas power plants, solar pv and concentrating solar power, wind power, and fuel cells.

Conti's success grew out of the fact that it excels in getting a project "up and out" of the ground gaining valuable float in the schedule. Conti's ability to self-perform critical components of the project, coupled with its superior management of large subcontracts with electrical and mechanical subs, has played an invaluable role in its success with power producers. The company has the capabilities to be involved in every step of the project development as well as the construction of the project. Conti's capabilities also include:

  • Engineering Procurement Construction
  • General construction
  • Deep excavation
  • Utility piping
  • Piles & Caissons
  • Construction of concrete foundations and slabs
  • Underground storage vessels
  • Removal of contaminated soil
  • Transmission/Distribution towers
Conti was the first contractor to ever receive the prestigious Westinghouse Electric "Partnership Award" based on its performance at the Newark Bay Cogeneration Facility.
